Lost Property - Can I Initiate a Lost Property Request
If you’ve realised that you’ve left an item in one of our taxis after your trip has ended, you can easily initiate a Lost Property Request by following these steps:
What Happens After I Submit My Lost Property Request?
Once we receive your request, we will communicate with the driver to check if your item has been found. We will update you on the status as we work to locate your belongings.
There are two options for retrieving your lost property:
- Delivery to Customer: If the driver locates your item, they may choose to deliver it back to you. The fare for delivery will depend on the distance to be traveled and will follow the system-generated taxi fare. For example, if the driver needs to travel from Southampton to Winchester to return the item, the fare will reflect the standard taxi rate for that journey.
- Collection from Local Hub: Alternatively, the driver can drop the item off at our Southampton office, where you can collect it free of charge. Admin fees may apply where items are requested to be stored for more than 48 hours. This is due to not having the space in our office to safely store items, and therefore having to utilise storage.
Important Timeframes for Lost Items:
- High-Value or Important Items: Items such as IDs, passports, wallets, or important documents that are not queried or claimed within 24 hours will be sent to the local police station.
- Other Items: Items not queried or claimed within 24 hours will be disposed of.
- Unclaimed Items: If you do not arrange for collection or delivery within 7 days of claiming the item, it will be disposed of.
Please be aware that our drivers are independently licensed private hire drivers, and both the driver and Aryvo are not liable for any items left behind after the trip. While we will make every effort to assist you in recovering your belongings, we cannot guarantee that the item(s) will be found or returned promptly.
We will always do our best to help you retrieve your lost property, but please understand that the process may take time depending on the circumstances.
